The Winds of Change

It is windy today.  I can stand on our porch and feel the wind, hear the wind, and see the effects of the wind moving things. It reminds me of how God is working in our lives right now.  We can see His movement, hear His voice, and feel His presence.  The winds of change are happening in our lives and God is in every part of it.
For those that have not heard, Matt gave a one month notice to his boss Monday.  He will be leaving sometime the first week of April for Haiti.  The kids and I will remain behind until they finish school. We are hoping to go over the first part of June but it all depends on how Matt finds things in Haiti when he gets there.  I could spend hours just talking about how God has orchestrated absolutely everything for this to be happening and how He continues to provide every single need at just the right time.  To God be the glory, great things He has done!
As excited as we are to see God's movement we must be realistic in the challenges that still lie ahead. In my bible study today God warning me of this. “We must anticipate our Enemy's desire to thwart our progress as we move toward God's plan for us. He is not going to just hand it to us.  We are going to have to fight for it.” Ephesians 6:10-11 says…”Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.”  I have to remember the road less traveled is not the easy road.  Just because you are in God's will does not mean everything will be fine and dandy, quite the opposite is true.  I can not think of one person in the bible who did not face difficulties in their journey and I am only so honored to endure trials for my Lord. God told us their would be trials in this world, but He has overcome the world!
Not only did I receive a warning today, but I received a promise. “Despite the difficulties you will inevitably face as you follow God's plan for you, keep God's presence exalted. Don't become complacent and don't give in to fear. Trust that God is with you. I promise you'll discover that the Lord is enough.”
Moses called out to the Lord prior to moving toward Canaan…”Rise up, Oh Lord! And let Your enemies be scattered, And let those who hate You flee before You.” Moses knew there would be a battle ahead, but he also knew God would have the victory.
